Yaitu tentang bagaimana Tuhan menghadirkan cinta pada dua anak manusia yang saling mengasihi dengan tulus dan berjalan lurus, namun karena situasi dan kondisi sosial budaya adat istiadat, dan juga banyak faktor lainnya yang sangat kuat mempengaruhi jalannya cinta suci tersebut. Hingga manusia dihadapkan pada pilihannya masing-masing, apakah akan meneruskan cinta tersebut, menguburkan, melupakan atau bahkan membunuhnya. This is one of the very good Indonesian films, the love story of 2 human beings who must be separated because of wealth, different degrees of customs. A very tragic love story. Pathetic. Herjunot Ali's acting in this film shows totality. "demikianlah perempuan, ia hanya ingat kekejaman orang kepada dirinya walaupun kecil, dan ia lupa kekejamannya sendiri pada orang lain padahal begitu besarnya."a powerful words by zainuddin to hayati. i can feel his emotion that he hide all these times. i know he still love her in this scene, but anger controls him. i can't imagine if someone i deeply love broke the promise and married to other person, and come back ask for forgiving. i'd alsp do the same just like what zainuddin did to hayati. remember, words cut deeper than a zainuddin motivates me to turn the pain, the hate into power. he proves to all those people that he success, he's in the top, and proves the "luka pun ada sembuhnya". besides the powerful lines, the musics help the movie. This movie is remarkable because each part of the story is described so smoothly. The characters of this movie successfully deliver a deep emotion to the audience. As usual, Reza Rahadian plays impeccably. When Herjunot Ali and Pearce Pevita still seen trying hard to turn their character, Reza Rahadian appears so easy in the figure of Aziz. Pevita Pearce also successfully demonstrated with good acting skills. Although the character of Hayati still feels not so ripe, Pevita capable of displaying the figure of the girl who lived in the 1930’s with the problem of conflict between tradition and her romance with a performance that will be able heartbreaking. However, the strongest performance in Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck clearly comes from Herjunot Ali. Herjunot managed to give a pretty deep emotional touch to his character, reciting poetic dialogues given to his character well and makes the character Zainuddin was so easy to get the sympathy from the audience. Other acting appearances were quite a surprise present from Randy Nidji who recently made his acting debut through, but managed to give the appearance that is so convincing. I recommend this movie because of its epic classy romance which is so hard to find in Indonesian’s movie in recent years. I give four stars to this movie. You have to watch this!
